It’s been almost four years since We Started Nothing was released by Jules de Martino and Katie White, collectively known as The Ting Tings, a surprisingly long hiatus considering the immense success of their chart-topping debut album. But the duo have been constantly sharing their time between the stage and the recording studio crafting their second offering Sounds from Nowhereville, which released this week in the UK and will be in stores on 15 March in the U.S.. We met up with the band to talk about the albums creation, why a previous sophomore album they previously made in Berlin was shelved, the evolution of their multi-genre sound, their experiences with Cypress Hill on the road and much more.

Our latest installment for HBTV takes the form of this vision of the Carhart WIP E1 London store. Consistent with the level of detail other Carhartt retail locations have incorporated, the E1 London store was intended to capture and accentuate the original features of the space. The carefully crafted interior integrates materials sourced from throughout the UK including shelving built from remnants of an army barracks, and a table crafted from 100 year old Scottish ashwood. Highlighting collaborations and artwork from several names throughout the interior, retail manager Marvin Javier invites you to visit.
